Question: What version of windows 7 is best for my 10" acer aspire one netbook?

None of them. Your netbook doesnt have the resources Vista or 7 needs. It may work but you but it wont be as fast.

Home Premium will be fine. You don't need to buy the full version. You can use an upgrade disk, but you will have to do a clean install. Upgrade disks retail for about 100 bucks, but if you are a student and have a .edu email address, you can get it for $30 until Jan 10th I believe.

Microsoft says that you should use Windows 7 Starter Edition on a netbook, but I am using Home Premium on my Asus Eee netbook, which only has a 16GB solid state hard drive, and it works fine.

Just go with Windows 7 Home Premium, it's the cheapest of all them. I had an Acer Aspire One 8 " and was running the Release Candidate of Windows 7 (which is pretty much Windows 7 Ultimate) on it. And had no problems what so ever. It'll run 7, I thought 7 ran better then XP and in some articles i've read online people are arguing that 7 actually has a system requirements that are lower then xp, despite Microsoft's requirements, now i don't know if i'd go that low, but i do know that the Aspire One can run 7 with no problems at all.
