Question: Would sims 3 work on an acer netbook with a cd drive?

I currently have an acer apsire, and I want to know if Sims 3 could be on it? Its windows xp sp3. don't know anything else about it. Is it best to buy a cd drive, or just buy a new laptop?

Definitely not. Netbooks are too low-performance to be able to play games like Sims 3

You probably won't get near as good performance as you could get from a full sized laptop. For one, it's a netbook, not an Xbox. If your sole reason for having a portable computer is to be able to play Sims 3 every once in a while, get yourself a decent laptop. Ask for one with a "Dedicated " graphics chip, hopefully the drones will know what that means.
