Question: I connected my acer netbook to my lg flat screen tv via vga, but sound is only coming from my laptop.?

Vga only carries video. If you have no HDMI, then use the "Line Out " from the netbook, and connect it to the audio input on the TV. You may need a mini-stereo plug to dual RCA plugs in some cases, otherwise dual mini-stereo plugs, depending on TV HDMI "now " carries audio. In the earlier days (about 3-4 years ago), it did not - had to use audio cables then as well...

If you want sound also, you need HDMI. If you do not have HDMI connector on your laptop, you're out of luck. Otherwise, if you want cheap workaround, plug in a 2 way audio cable into the headphone jack of your laptop and plug the other end into the sound in jack of your tv (if you have one).
