Question: 1120nr hp netbook, is it ubuntu or something else?

Sorry, i'm not a computer genious, but i have a 1120nr hp mini netbook, and i haven't changed the operating system or anything, it's still the same everything that i got out of the box. i was trying to download gimp, and got stuck because i don't know which one to choose. it's operating system is linux, btw thank you :)

Linux operating systems have many versions of it for example Fedora, Ubuntu, Red Hat etc. When you download a file pick the Linux one and it covers all the distributions of Linux because they all use the same code. Just dont select the one for Windows or Mac they won't work. Edit: If this is your model that I found on HP's site then your operating system is HP's OS and is part of the Linux family.
