Question: Laptop battery- to take out or leave in when plug in?
(Posted by: D4rkArrow on 2010-03-11 15:18:30)
I'm sure that many other people have asked this before but I'm conflicted on which course of action is best for my laptop battery life, it's an Hp with the six cell lithium battery. My question which is the best course of action for the most efficient use of the battery while preserving the battery life when it's not plug in. I most use my laptop at home right now, so I can just use the outlet for power and don't really need the battery. With that said, when I plug in my laptop i usually take out the battery so that it won't overcharge which wither away battery later in the future. I'm conflicted on what to do since I've read both that I should leave the battery in when plugged in and other articles say to leave it out. Here are two articles that says different from each other. http:/ / green.yahoo.com/ blog/ the_conscious_consumer/ 126/ how- to- make- your- electronics- batteries- last- longer.html http:/ / www.associatedcontent.com/ article/ 278197/ how_to_take_care_of_your_laptops_battery.html?cat=15 Please tell me what I should do to take the best care for the battery and the laptop. Thanks. |
