Question: Does anyone know how comparable a samsung n210 netbook is to a sony netbook?

I am going to Bestbuy today to purchase a computer, and its down to either a Samsung N210 or a Sony Netbook. Quality is very important to me, and there prices aren't too much different. I wont be using it for business or anything, just for fun and for my college classes. It will be used to do homework, and internet mostly. Does anyone own one, or knows about either one of these? I would like to know pros/ cons. I heard that the Samsung heats up a lot, but on the other hand the Sony doesn't have the best battery life. I'm pretty sure they both have about the same storage space. Any and all advise would help me in my decision, thank you!

My brother in law has a Sony Vaio netbook. I would have thought and expected their laptops to be very good but its lacking some bits to it. It has 3 hours of battery life which isn't good if you are student wanting to do stacks of work. What said about the price Sony is much more expensive than the Samsung as Sony is round about £400-500 at least for a small laptop. The keyboard is fine but for me it was too spacey and you have to press exact buttons.

I would personally just buy a normal laptop. I was going to buy my husband a netbook for his college classes but even for jut basic use we thought it wasn't enough computer for him. For about the same price you can buy a normal (bigger) laptop that will allow you to do alot more if you wanted to down the road. At least give you that option where the netbooks are just good for that, the net. Depends on what you really are going to be doing with it. Personally I'm a toshiba person.

The best netbooks today are Acer. They're also among the cheapest.

If price is not affordable to you then it is better to go for Sony net book. But for good battery life you have to alter from your options to Acer brand or to Dell Inspiron mini m10 which will give you a battery life up to hrs in low loads and 5 hrs in full load.
