Question: Do they make any speedy netbooks?

Are they just kinda meant to be a low speed mini- notebook? Does any company make a fast one that is popular out there?

It's probably slow because it's running Windows. If you run GNU/ Linux on a netbook, it's not slow. It's fast.

No, Net Books do not have built in CD/ DVD drives and the video/ graphics are not any where near good enough for gaming and the processor is to slow for gaming. Net Books are made for basic work, e-mail and surfing the web.

No they don't Those mini portables with small screens and compact keyboards -- are cute. But they're not for everyone. Disk space is limited, keyboards are cramped, and they're no good for watching movies, no cd/ dvd drive.
