Question: Difference between netbooks and laptops?

I'm buying a new computer. I cant decide between a netbook or a laptop. I know netbooks are smaller and cheaper. But what are other differences. Oh i use my computer to hold my music and pics if that means anything.

With a netbook you're going to lose alot of speed... the ones I sell come mainly with only 160gb hard drive, 1gb RAM, and an Intel Atom processor... also, no optical drive, so you won't be downloading any dvd/ cd's unless you have an external drive to plug in. And the new ones come with Windows 7 starter... which means they have no media functions, so again, no movies an stuff. (which isn't a big deal, since the processor and lack of memory would make it suck anyway) Even with the crappiest laptop you'll get at least a full version of Windows 7, 2gb RAM, and a 250gb hard drive... processors may vary. But for the extra 50 bucks, I'd go with the crappy laptop instead of a crappy half-laptop... its worth that much for the extra screen size.

Netbook is for mobile, if u travel a lot, it fits, u can do docs, play movie (small screen), i can even play starctraft 1 on it,but it is smaller, do light graphic application , get the longer lasing battery (7-14hr!!) that u cannot get on higher end laptop- the true definition of mobile!! laptops have more processing power can do wide range of application, batt life up to 4-6hr, nice to watch move (bigger screen), optical drive, can do heavy graphic application..

Get a laptop. Netbook screens are small and cause eye strain after a period of time. Also the text on a netbook is small, even on a 10 inch screen. They are slow compared to a notebook or laptop.
