Is it ok to buy a refurbished netbook?
I just want a little ASUS netbook computer to have in my kitchen to quick check email, recipes, facebook, etc... nothing big. Do you think it is ok to buy a refurbished one to save money? we are talking like $100 here It's only real purpose is to get on the internet quickly, probably wont be used for anything else. Thanks

Installing operating system on a refurbished netbook?
I have the dvd drived plugged into the netbook with the operating system disk inside. now its giving me three options on which partition to select to install xp on. 3 choices....partitioned space on on " C Partition1 Fat32 " " Unpartitioned space 4MB Unpartitioned space 15626" I want a completely fresh start, using up as little space as possible, if that affects my selection here...in order to use as little space as possible do i need to delete that partitioned space & create a new one to do so
How do i perform a system recovery on a refurbished netbook with an uninstalled operating system?
I just bought a refurbished HP netbook 1030NR . The operating system XP Home Edition SP3 was uninstalled to begin with. I just went out & bought a external multiformat DVD Writer & I'm trying to figure out how to get it to cooperate with the new Netbook & carry out the system recovery. I plugged the drive up to the netbook & inserted the system recovery disk that came with the refurbed netbook & turned the net book on, but i keep getting the same message, " reboot & select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device & press a key." i have a disk for system recovery & for the operating system, I just can't figure out how to get it all working together.F9 & F10 BIOS settings are available when i start the netbook, but i don't know what to do in there.Help? ?
